Because the companies that manufacture them know that they could make a good profit. Either way people still need hearing aids, so they take advantage of that. Same thing with cell phone cases, they should be around 7 dollars but they know people will buy them either way so they sell them for 20 dollars or so.

Because people who have hearing problems Need them to have a good quality of life. Therefore people decide that they can make a lot of money from this kind of desperation. There truly are some shameless business men in this world. Its like buying an ashtma inhaler....in America is it stupidly expensive but over here in the UK it costs about 10 dollars. Greed.
